Where Football Meets Conservation: UEFA Foundation for Children Visits Football4Wildlife in the Maasai Mara

We were truly honored to host the UEFA Foundation for Children Team from 25th to 27th January 2026, who travelled all the way from Geneva, Switzerland, to visit the Football4Wildlife Girls Club Project that we are currently implementing.

We have proudly partnered with UEFA for the past five years, working together on various initiatives including the distribution of football kits and the development of infrastructure such as football pitches at Ilkimatare Primary School and Ngosuani Primary School.

It was a great pleasure to welcome Mr. Seth Manu and Ms. Tania Baima to the Maasai Mara, where they met the project beneficiaries; the children, their parents and teachers, as well as wildlife game rangers. During their visit, they toured the girls’ club, the manyattas where the children live and St. John Paul II Mission Boarding Primary School.

They witnessed firsthand how the project has positively impacted the children through football, while also promoting wildlife protection, environmental conservation and the sustainable management of natural and water resources within communities that coexist closely with wildlife.

It was truly a great honor to host them, and we sincerely hope to welcome them again in the future. We extend our heartfelt gratitude and say thank you to the UEFA Foundation for Children for their continued support and partnership.
