Excavation of water pans for water for wildlife
Wildlife Conservation is a big part of Water4Wildlife Maasai Mara Foundation. We are very passionate about the provision of water to the wildlife and livestock through excavation of water pans. So far we have excavated six (6) water pans. Immediately the water pan started filling rainwater, animals came to drink and the water pan was full of all different types of animals. Water pans are important for storing water during the rainy seasons and are essential not only for animals to drink, but also for cooling, breeding, and shelter. Many animals will cool off by swimming in the water pans or coating themselves in mud. Our plan is to excavate many more water pans in the Maasai Mara Ecosystem.
